I took one look at the feeders down here and said that I would never ever buy one of those plastic hopper feeders. We could only bait for bear with barrels up north. The whole feeder thing is new to me down here since we couldn’t use feeders where I used to hunt. Go figure! 16 gauge steel and 14 gauge tubing all welded versus thin sheet metal that is held together by nuts and bolts. You definitely pay more and trust me I initially thought no way am I paying that much, but the difference in quality of materials is you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend something like the Alamo feeder. Bow, we used to buy and then have to replace the cheaper made store bought feeders.
